FC 25: New Features and Updates Revealed

FC 25, the latest installment in the EA FC franchise, introduces exciting new features to better gameplay strategy and realism. Set for release in September, this edition promises to revolutionize virtual football with innovative technologies and enhanced gameplay mechanics. It is said to be the very best version of the game since the first release.

FIFA 25 is based on 3 new features:

• FCIQ
• Hyper Motion V
• Playing Styles

FCIQ also consists of 3 things:

1. Player’s Roles
2. Team Tactics
3. Smart Tactics

Player Roles

In EA FC 25, you can assign roles to each player. For example, you can give the Poacher role to VINI JR., so he runs into empty spaces on the football pitch, and you can pass him the ball. This feature is similar to instructions but deeper.

You can assign two roles to a player:

• Player’s role when the ball is with your team
• Player’s role when your opponent team has the ball

For example, Dani Carvajal, a Spanish footballer, plays right defense when the opponent team has the ball, and when your team has the ball, he changes roles and becomes a winger to come forward and center the ball, just like his actual tactic in Real Madrid in real life.

If the role assigned doesn't match the player, their performance will vary based on their real-life skills. Players have different ratings for their roles:

• Role+: They will do it perfectly
• Role++: They will do it incredibly well, like a global player
• Role: They will try their best
• The role isn’t among the player’s positions: The player will try but don't count on it, like telling VINI JR. to stand in defense

A player can excel in one role and be average in another based on real-world performance. For example, VINI JR. will be good at centering from the corner but amazing at dribbling and shooting from the corner.

Team Tactics

In EA FC 25, you can have two team compositions simultaneously:

• One for when your team has the ball
• When your opponent team has the ball

For each composition, you can choose the formation, defense depth, and playing styles. EA provides four pre-set compositions and real tactics at the start of the game to help you understand their strengths and weaknesses.

Smart Tactics

AI has become a major part of FC 25 as well. The game’s AI will recommend changing tactics based on your and your opponent’s playing styles. For instance, it might suggest switching to a 4-3-3 formation if you're struggling to score despite frequent centering.

Besides the game’s tactic recommendations, you can save up to five combinations and switch between them mid-game, just like in previous versions.

Sharing Combinations

One of the exciting new features of FIFA 25 is the ability to share your combinations. In EA FC 25, you can set a code for your unique team combinations and tactics and share it with friends.
