EA uses Playtime data (time spent + matches played) to decide if you get access to the Transfer Market on the Web App and Companion App. To unlock the market, you need to show active play by playing matches and logging into the apps. Playtime also helps you keep track of your gaming journey.
You can enable Playtime on your console/PC or Web App/Companion App, the process and the result is similar but slightly different.
How to Turn On Playtime On Console or PC
- Open EA SPORTS FC.
- Go to Settings → Online Settings → Privacy Settings.
- Turn on “Share Playtime Usage Data.”
- Alternative: In Ultimate Team: go to Club → Settings → Playtime and enable it.
On Web App or Companion App
- Log in to the EA SPORTS FC Web App or Companion App.
- Go to Settings → Playtime.
- Toggle Enable Playtime on.

- Tip: Restart the app if it doesn’t update.
How to Check Your Playtime Stats
On Console or PC you’ll see your playtime inside the game. But on the Web or Companion App you can see:
- Total Time Spent
- Matches Played
- Weekly Limits (if you want to set them)
Why It Matters
If Playtime isn’t turned on, EA won’t count your activity. That means there will be delays or blocks when trying to access the Transfer Market. Enabling it makes sure your progress is tracked correctly.
